Such sites cannot be designed to accommodate
a narrow audience profile, thus making nomenclature and taxonomy
vital components in final navigation efficiency. Further to this
point, federal law now requires these new sites to conform to
Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, requiring that Federal
agencies' electronic and information technology is accessible
to people with disabilities.
Alucid has a great deal of experience in working
with government agencies both at the local and federal
levels. We are looked to by a number of these agencies
as a source of equipping and maintaining internal user testing
facilities, as well as others who call on Alucid for project services
such as test planning and administration.
Case Study Summary:
Alucid enjoys an ongoing relationship with the United
States Bureau of the Census (USBC) in providing three
(3) distinct user testing laboratories. Our team designed the
facility as well as the observation and recording systems. Additionally,
Alucid has also equipped USBC with a completely mobile solution
to enable collection of user input in the field. Our annually
renewable service and warranty program provides USBC with the
comfort of knowing that Alucid will provide immediate technical
support and assistance around the clock in the event of equipment
difficulties.
