Alucid has worked with a wide ranging group
of consumer-product clients, both in providing specialty tools
to capture user interaction and in planning for and conducting
tests and evaluations of client products.
We are keenly attuned to the varying regional
perceptions of branding and other determining factors of consumer
satisfaction with products. With this in mind, we can provide
testing equipment or services anywhere in the U.S. and
abroad. Alucid can also provide respondent recruitment
and remote client viewing options to enable your team to stay
intimately involved throughout the process.
One particularly
intriguing tool Alucid utilizes for the purpose of collecting
user input in various locations is our Mobile-ULab™.
Our research team can help develop a ‘user-experience tour’
that will not only result in rich data collection, but simultaneously
promote both the product being tested and your organization’s
commitment to user testing.
Case Study Summary:
In 2003, the Alucid user-experience team conducted respondent
driven testing of the consumer retail website of a major computer
and printer manufacturer in the U.S. The objective of the testing
was to draw validated comparisons within and across varying consumer
profiles and demographics. Prominence of cross-sell and up-sell
functionality was also a priority of the investigation, along
with recently revised shopping cart features.
Based on findings of the sessions and subsequent
recommendations from the Alucid Team, this site realized noticeable
improvements of completed transactions on the site and
the overall number of related items being purchased and checkout.
This testing was conducted in Northern
California where Alucid provided test planning & moderation,
a testing facility & respondent recruitment, and data analysis
& findings presentation.
